Meeting called to order my Mayor Larry. Mary, Fred, Derek, and Lynn were all present. Leonard Jirak, Carson Cox, Commissioner Bob Saueressig, Brian Isch and Cheryl Dornes were present also.
APPROVE MINUTES OF LAST MEETING
Need to make addition to minutes. Add word need to #2. Mary moved to accept minutes as amended. Lynn second. Motion passed.
BILL APPROVAL
Mary moved and Fred second to approve payment of bills. Motion passed.
VOICES FROM THE COMMUNITY
Mayor was presented with check from Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks for $8,000. Leonard Jirak and Carson Cox presented the check to Larry.
Commissioner Saueressig- tax statements are wrong due to a software problem and new statements will be mailed. Also need a LEPC representive Mary will attend these meetings to represent the City of Gridley.
APPROVE ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA
Mary moved and Lynn second to approve agenda as presented.
1. Report from Fred on clean up.
This will be done in the future. Fred will get back with the council.
2. Beer license for Nancy’s Grocery
Mary moved and Derek second to approve liquor license for Nancy’s Grocery. Motion passed.
3. Tom Hoag annexation
Waiting on legal description from Tom.
4. Christmas in the Park
Everything set and ready to go. Mary moved and Lynn second to pay Fastenal bill for item needed to install lights. Motion passed.
5. Employee evaluations
Mary moved and Lynn second to go into executive session for 5 minutes. Motion passed.
Mary moved and Lynn second to come out of executive session. Motion passed.
Mary moved and Fred second to give Brian and Cheryl a 2% base pay increase in wages. This will be effective January 1, 2012.
Lynn moved and Derek second to adjourn. Motion passed.
